Kookaburra Cinema: what do users think?

Howard Thomas: Love the Kookaburra. Outdoor cinema under the trees and the stars out in the Perth hills. We are very lucky. It is also very retro, perhaps aging is an accurate description, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

Ben: Beautiful way to watch a movie. Under the stars with possums in the surrounding trees. I'd recommend arriving early and having a sunset picnic.

Jenae Sorgiovanni: Beautiful spot under the stars to see some great films. Bring a picnic and some wine 👌🏻

Brett Rogers: and lined seating with blankets and pillows available free to grab on the way on. Beautiful setting and experience.

Ron Goldsmith: Great setting in the hills. Seats are uncomfortable but cushions are available.Good space available for your own chairs, etc. They have some outdoor tables and chairs available as well. Small kiosk but good selection and you are able to BYO pizza, etc as well. Great evening.

Stoz Zer: Great atmosphere and a terrific experience

Bligh Vertigo: Excellent. Movies in nature.

nic hartley: I heard this place would close down soon. It's one of the most beautiful aspects of my childhood, and the greatest travesty in the universe is that not enough people go. Its surreal in how magically good it is. They know where it's at. There are not enough stars in the sky to rate this. Maybe I could get a job there, to help with marketing.

liz Tarr: Great experience. Lovely cushions and blankets supplied!

Douglas Faudet: Enjoyable venue. Nice environment. A very pleasant way to spend an evening. We will be going back more regularly.

David Earnshaw: The Kookaburra Cinema is a true icon of the Perth Hills. What can be better than watching a movie under the stars with your loved ones. Guys, do yourself a favour, no matter where you travel from, and grab a ticket or 2 to the Kookaburra. And it’s BYO - food or your favourite tipple.

Elisa: Very nice atmosphere

Paul Denton: A unique hills experience, don't forget to take a pre-show picnic, cushions provided to ease into the show.

Andrew: Great little place for outdoor movies. Run by the community and deserves support. Well run, courtesy blankets and cushions. Chairs are set out in rows, but seats not reserved. So, arrive a little earlier to select a seat. Seats are outdoor chairs, Joined together to form rows. Comfortable enough with a cushion. Good sound and screen.

Steve Cooper: Great spot

Sarah W: Perfect night out under the stars to watch a family movie. We took the picnic blanket and a thermos for dinner. It was a lovely evening with the birds in the background. We booked our tickets online which I would recommend as the first few rows were reserved for online tickets.

Stacey Walden: I love the films here, staff are friendly but the seats and carpet augh... need a deep deep clean.

Kenneth Lee: Best cinema 🎦

Pierce Woods: Plenty of aircon, plenty of cup holders. The 1 star reviewers are morons. It's Fremantle, so obviously parking is going to be difficult/expensive.The cinema itself is well maintained and very comfy.

Nick Cooper: Cosy little cinema, great if you want movies off the beaten track.

Marion McGovern: A trip to freo to watch the movies.Hidden down a side street in an obscure part of town is this building of roomy cinemas.Lovely big comfy chairs to take the weight off while you enjoy the entertainment, of the latest release movies.Enjoy a drink outside in the shaded area before you go in or take in with you. A good variety of snacks are also available, and the friendly staff to serve you.Very relaxing .

Cait Borg: and the service was great. The cinema itself is super comfortable and smaller so it's more personalized with comfy recliner seats and a QR code on the seat to order more food and drinks as you wish.

Jorge Pinheiro: Spotlessly clean, friendly and attentive staff, another great location from EVT!

ROBERTO FASANO: I had a fantastic experience at Event Cinema in Whitford. One of the best things about it is that it's not overcrowded like other cinemas, which allows for a more enjoyable movie-watching experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The sound and picture quality were excellent, enhancing my overall enjoyment of the film. Plus, the ticket prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the experience. I highly recommend Event Cinema in Whitford to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable movie night without the hassle of large crowds.

Tucker Vio: Lovely, clean facility, found the self serve kiosk very user friendly for a non tech savvy person like myself.Food and drinks were a little on the pricey side, but that's to be expected with a night out at the movies.Pleasant service from staff.Seating inside of the theatre was clean and comfortable.Movie played as scheduled.Overall experience was satisfying!!.

John Hutchison: Great place 👌

Mel Cribb: This place has Willy Wonka vibes, it's a cute space with different strains to get your drinks, food, lollies, hot food, ice cream or alcoholic beverages. The cinemas are modern, spacious and the seats recline.

Coffee Drinker “Skinny Flat White Please”: Staff member Sienna thank you for maintaining control over errant patrons in cinema 6 this evening. Thanks to you we enjoyed Ghostbusters movie without being distracted by their antics. You turned an unpleasant situation into a positive outcome. 😊

Tegan Taudigani: Perfect venue for corporate presentations. Dealing with Ian was a breeze, from the technical aspects to the layout and catering arrangements, the team at The Backlot made our event stress free. Our team and clients were so impressed with the venue and service. Can't wait to come back again to this venue.

Becky G: Cool spot. Great bar. Best cinema seats in Perth!

Ron Arthurs: Great theatre, iconic artwork and photosI always enjoy going to anything here. Congratulations, Ian Hale, awesome venue.

Stephanie Pratt: Beautiful clean cinema, friendly staff and great experience overall. Clear entry/exit markings would help. We felt a little bit silly trying doors to get in/out but obviously a very minor issue and perhaps its a intelligence test for patrons haha

Bacon: Cool niche came

Barbara Meadows: We watched a film here as part of a fundraiser. What a little gem hidden away behind the freeways. I had no idea it existed. Seating and all amenities were great. It holds 50 people.

Brenda Wilkinson (EnviroBren): Loved The Backlot Perth.First time there, and will definitely go back again to see other films.Took my friend Shane to the screening of Black Cockatoo Crisis and we loved the vibe.

Galaxy Drive In Theatre: what do users think?

TIMMY TEALE: Tuesday night was good... $22 per car 🚗

James Lawrence: One of the few Drive-in opened. Great place to relax under the stars to watch a movie.

Neil **W**: Great value night out with family or a special someone.

Hassan Alhaddad: Good

Amber Webster: Love this drive in

Emily Normandale: Family and I loved it. Got there about 45 mins before opening time and there were approx 6 cars in front of us. Young guy working at the entrance was lovely! We didn't need a speaker - we tuned in our radio and just turned it up and sound was fine. Screen was great and saw the movie perfectly fine. Chips were yum and prices were cheap at the kiosk, service was great there too! Definitely recommend.

Jeni Aks: Love this place. It's a great way to get out with kids and have some fun family time. Just wish they had 2 movies running during the week instead of one. Sometimes it's weeks before we can get out here with the kids as it's movies for grown ups running for weeks. Also wish they didn't require cash deposits for the speakers. With banks and ATMs disappearing not many people have cash in their wallets and you don't always remember to bring cash.

Chantel Geldenhuys: Great drive-inn.

Simmone Gwatkin: Recommended. Would love to see more KIDS movies played at the drive-ins. Love going to the Galaxy drive-ins!

Kriz Fish: Love this budget activity! I've enjoyed lots of low key nights here now. Sometimes the quality is a bit frustrating especially when they start the film too early and you can't see anything.

Sherry Roberts: Love the atmosphere and being able to watch a movie for a decent price under the stars
