There is also opportunity for the café to operate as a vibrant function and event space to complement Fremantle Arts Centre’s program of exhibition openings, music concerts and other cultural events both as a cafe and event caterer or run independent café driven events.

The café operator will have first right of refusal to cater events and functions at the Fremantle Arts Centre and will have the opportunity to deliver events within the premises and into the Fremantle Arts Centre venue.

I started working in coffee at Bench Espresso during time as a student and moved on to work at various renown cafes in Melbourne whilst taking on a graduate position after university. I returned to Perth to work as Head Barista of Small Print and after a year and a half transitioned in to working as a trainer for renown Melbourne specialty coffee roaster, Dukes Coffee Roasters. Understanding that coffee is such a simple product to consume yet so much goes in to it when making one, my curiosity has lead to me here. Teaching others about coffee is essentially expressing my curiosity to others and so they attain an interest towards coffee and see what I see in it.
