We would very much appreciate it if you could aim to be here AT LEAST 10 - 15mins BEFORE our posted closing times instead of AT closing; this will make for a much more relaxed and pleasant check in for all involved.

We do realise that sometimes things happen, traffic delays occur etc and we will help where we can in emergencies but if you could make sure you leave enough time to account for a possible delay and still get here well before closing it would be greatly appreciated.

Our closing time is when we shut the gate, not when we take last clients in. The fact that we live here does not mean we are always going to be here outside of opening hours as we do schedule appointments or other activities we need to attend when we are closed and sometimes we need to leave as soon as we are closed so that we do not then make other businesses etc run behind....

4worldlovers: From the time your precious pet sniff their way through the doors until they are handed into their owners, we cater to their nature.

From our first interaction with the staff, it was very clear that they are very passionate about animals and of taking care of them. Our dogs were in for daycare and we were shown where they would be for the day and they had photos for us when we picked them up so we could see how much fun they had.. very much looking forward to dropping them off again for another fun filled day!

I was told about this place by a few people , I took my Bruce there he is 10 month old chow and he came back exhausted and slept the whole night which was great .Bruce is high energy and needs lots of exercise and sometime I don't have enough time to take him out as regularly as I do . I take him there on a regular basis now and he was so excited to see the staff and the dogs. I drop him off in the Morning and pick him up late afternoon and he loves it. Its great socialisation for him and good exercise. If you are struggling to take your dog out then drop him here for the day, it's $17 And I promise you, you won't be disappointed. The staff are lovely and you can see they have a real passion for animals. Thank you!

We are so pleased to have found this wonderful boarding kennel. Having a soft natured but slight boisterous rescue dog we were apprehensive about going away at Christmas and leaving him in the care of others. The wonderful ladies at Dogz & Catz retreat have been working with us to ensure that Fred will be comfortable and well looked after during his stay this Christmas and so far he has been enjoying his weekly day care (and first time night boarding visit this week), he comes back home content and relaxed after his day out. It really meant a lot to us that Naomi gave us a follow up call after his first sessions to update us on his progress and reassure us he is in good hands. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best care for their pets.

The staff at Dogz & Cats retreat are fantastic! my Boy is social funny (fear reactive) but coming here he plays and makes new friends it's amazing how he's so happy here around all the doggies and looks forward to daycare each week. I don't trust a lot of people with my baby with him being reactive I'm protective of him but I trust this place 100% with how well cared for he is with his needs and won't take him anywhere else!


Highly recommended for big and small dogs. We have a 15yr old Chihuahua, 4yr old Lab and 2 yr old English Staff. They all love it. The bigger dogs stay together in the big dog area. Dogs are always happy and clean when we pick them up from boarding. Their Day Care service is also recommended.


Our dog Cooper just loves coming here. we've tried a few different doggy daycares around the area, but this is definitely her favourite. As soon as we rock up she jumps out of the car without a glance back and she's off to play with all her best friends. being able to just drop off her and not having to pre-book suits my schedule and makes it easier for me to fit her into extra days when I have the time last minute to bring her in.

Our dogs always get well looked after and come back clean and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We’ve sent our 2 husky’s there 3 times and will continue to use this boarding kennel. We tell our dogs they’re going to Aunty Julie’s for the weekend ;)

I just had my Border Collie and Pomeranian groomed the first time at Julies. The groomer, Lexy, is absolutely a gem! Lexy really takes joy in what she does, especially for my border collie, it is a 25kg double coat fur monster! It is leading to the festival season, Lexy is very reasonable with what she charges and has been sending me photos of my dogs in between during the day (see below)! Being an owner, I just didn't want to be ripped off ( I texted over nearly 20 groomers in the northern suburbs over the weekend!), my dogs will get beaten or the groomer not knowing what they suppose to do (e.g. shave up a BC) - Lexy just took all these worries away!! I can't recommend Lexy enough esp I have a job so I can't commute right away to pick the dogs up when the job is done. Hence, Lexy is so understanding, accommodating, hardworking and friendly, thank you so much Lexy!
