The Chief Instructor, Sheryl Parkes (BHSAI), her husband and three daughters, have been involved with horses all their lives: showing, competing and breeding at a top level throughout Australia.

Sheryl Parkes (BHSAI) alone has over 45 years of teaching experience. Consequently, the family has a wealth of experience to offer young, inexperienced riders as well as the more experienced competition riders.

The family’s love of horses is evident in the quality of the horses that are available.

We are situated on a picturesque 140 acre complex with five arenas, a cross country training course, an 800 meter training track, 2 round yards, private riding trails, 28 private yards and several large paddocks with shade trees and dams.

We are within easy driving distance from Midland, only 20 minutes from the State Equestrian Centre and close to several adult riding clubs and pony clubs.

Zia Park Equestrian Centre offers a variety of Horse Trail Riding in the heart of the Perth Hills. Our trail riding horses are safe, very well cared for and very well trained.

We also have a variety of safe trail riding ponies, suitable for children and smaller riders. We have trail ride horses suitable for all skill levels, including beginners.

We offer private and group trail rides for clients of all ages over 6 years.

We pride ourselves on offering a safe and secure horse riding school environment where aspiring students learn to horse ride with confidence while gaining all the skills to progress to more advanced levels.

All under the watchful eye of our highly experienced riding coaches, all of whom have nationally recognized coaching qualifications., working with children checks and current first aid certificates.

Zia Park Equestrian Centre offers a variety of horse agistment options to horse owners wishing to agist their horses in the Perth Hills.

Agisters enjoy our extensive facilities, including a Dressage arena, Showjumping arena, 3 smaller arenas, 2 round yards, cross country course, 800m training track as well as extensive riding trails around the property.

Horse agistment options include paddock agistment, yard agistment and horse spelling. We always have some room for your horse!

At Sandeli Park our horses’ welfare is paramount and we instil the importance of correct handling and care in all our riders. We believe that horse riding doesn’t begin when you mount nor does it end when you dismount. Learning about grooming, saddling and caring for the horse is vitally important to becoming a well rounded rider and it helps to develop that all important bond with your horse built on trust, mutual respect and understanding.

Our coaches and staff are passionate about horses and teaching riders to understand the horse and how to work with them to achieve the best possible outcome. With an emphasis on position, balance and harmony between horse and rider we work tirelessly to help our clients achieve their goals. We treat each rider as an individual, understanding that not everyone learns in the same way or has the same goals.

Sandeli Park caters for riders of all ages and experiences across a wide variety of disciplines including dressage, jumping, showing, pleasure, lunging, groundwork and horsemanship. We also specialise in helping riders gain confidence both on the ground and in the saddle, treating every rider as an individual, allowing riders to progress at their own pace. We have a range of well educated horses and ponies, all with competition experience that can help you realise your equestrian dreams.
